Nouritza Matossian is a British writer,
actress, broadcaster and human rights activist in the arts,
contemporary music, history and Armenia.
Nouritza’s dramatic solo performance on
the life of her fellow-Armenian painter is based on her famous
biography Black Angel, the
Life of Arshile Gorky, which
has inspired Atom
Egoyan’s award-winning movie “Ararat”. Nouritza
Matossian is herself the model for the female role, Ani.
In 2004 the 100-th anniversary of
talented Armenian painter Arshile Gorky is celebrated.
